AI Assistants With Co-Pilot

  • by

Think of all the questions your employees and customers ask and need answered accurately. Policies, procedures, how-to’s etc. Getting quick and accurate answers is often a challenge with the info existing across different documents and teams. AI Assistants are fast and easy to build with Co-Pilot and dramatically improve efficiency and customer service.

Here are the basic steps:

Steps to Create Your AI Agent

1. Access the Agent Creation Interface:

    • In Microsoft 365 Copilot: Open the app and select Agents > Create Agent.

    • In Microsoft Teams: Select the Microsoft Copilot Studio icon and choose to create a new agent.

    • Via Chat Interface: Look for the “Create an agent” option in the right-hand panel of the Microsoft 365 Copilot chat.

2. Describe Your Agent’s Purpose:

    • Provide a clear description of what you want your agent to do in natural language. For example, you could say, “Help me create a detailed career development plan based on my current role and future goals”.

    • The system will use your description to help define the agent’s name, description, and instructions.

3. Configure and Refine the Agent:

    • Name and Description: Give your agent a name and refine its description.

    • Instructions: Provide specific instructions to guide the agent’s behavior, such as how to format responses or what to do when information is missing.

    • Knowledge Sources: You can add knowledge by uploading documents, linking to SharePoint sites, or providing URLs to websites to create a specialized knowledge base for the agent.

    • Capabilities: In the full Copilot Studio experience, you can add tools like a code interpreter or the ability to generate images, and configure connections to other services.

4. Test Your Agent:

    • Before creating the agent, test it with different prompts to ensure it functions as expected and provides relevant responses based on your configuration.

5. Create and Deploy:

    • Once you are satisfied, create the agent. It will then become available within the Microsoft 365 Copilot interface for you and others in your organization to use.
